Cookies and Browser Preferences

The journal can be read without optional tracking. This page explains the small preference record you may choose to save in your browser.

What the site uses

The site’s scripts do not set HTTP cookies, load advertising trackers or run third-party analytics. They use localStorage only when you select a preference below. Unlike a cookie, localStorage is not automatically attached to ordinary requests to the server.

No contact draft is stored in localStorage. The message preview exists in the current page; a copied message or downloaded file is created only when you request it.

The preference record

The value does not include your name, email address or a tracking identifier. It is read on this page to display your saved choice. If your browser blocks storage, the website remains readable and the controls will explain that saving was unavailable.

Your preferences

There are currently no optional analytics, advertising or personalisation technologies to enable. Both choices keep optional tracking off. “Accept” records your acknowledgement of the current storage description; it is not advance permission for future tracking.

No optional tracking is enabled.

You can change your saved choice at any time using these controls. To remove the record entirely, clear this website’s stored data in your browser settings. Clearing storage does not prevent you from reading the journal.

If these practices change

Any future optional technology would need a clear description and an appropriate choice before activation where required by law. A saved acknowledgement of today’s storage does not authorise a different future purpose.
